The Quinoa processed here is cultivated in the region of Bolivia around the Coipasa lake at a height of 4,000 m. The anchoring methods are still the same as that of the Incas thousands of years ago, fertilized completely organic only with llama dung. Pests are treated with extracts from indigenous plants such as eucalyptus. This superfood of the Incas is known for its high nutrient value and its ability to withstand extreme temperature fluctuations. The Incas refer to Quinoa as the "sacred grain", which has been a major component of their food for thousands of years. It contains all important amino acids and vitamins and a higher content of potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron as well as a high value of proteins (16g / 100g) compared to all grain cultivars. Quinoa is cultivated in many countries, such as China and France. The quality of the grain from other cultivation areas than from the heights of Bolivia is however significantly lower. All Quinua Real products are certified organic, gluten free and come from Fairtrade.
